Semax is a seven-amino-acid ACTH(4-10) analog developed in Russia. If you are comparing Semax peptide listings, read the label before the promise: check the exact compound, labeled amount, vial or spray format, whether it is research-use-only or a pharmacy product, the batch certificate, guarantee or returns, and the checkout price.
Human Semax research includes small Russian clinical reports in acute ischemic stroke, including a 30-person study; in everyday terms, that is a small group in an emergency-stroke setting, not a shopping-listing result. Most work on mechanisms such as BDNF is in rats.

| Key fact | What it means |
|---|---|
| What Semax is | A synthetic seven-amino-acid ACTH(4-10) analog. |
| US status | Semax is not an FDA-approved drug in the United States. |
| Human research | A PubMed-indexed acute-stroke study enrolled 30 people; rat studies make up much of the mechanism research. |
| Shopping comparison | Semax, Adamax, Selank and multi-peptide sprays are different listings, not interchangeable names. |
| Product category | Several listings below are sold for laboratory research only; Lavi MD describes its blend as compounded to order through a licensed compounding pharmacy. |
What is Semax, and what are the listings actually selling?
Semax is the synthetic heptapeptide Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, an analog of the ACTH(4-10) fragment. The products compared here include Semax powder vials, Adamax products, nasal sprays and blends, and Selank.
A vial and a nasal spray are different formats. Adamax is not another name for Semax: Verified Peptides and Northline Labs describe an acetylated, adamantane-modified Semax derivative. Selank is a different peptide, so it is useful as a neighboring comparison but not as a like-for-like Semax price.
FDA sets conditions for when certain bulk drug substances may be used in compounding.

How should you read a Semax listing before ordering?
Start with the exact name. “Semax,” “Adamax,” “Selank,” and a three-peptide blend describe different products. Then compare the labeled amount and format rather than a bottle image or a sale banner.
- Identify the category: Pharmacy, compounded drug and research-use-only material are different categories. A research-use-only label is not personal-use directions.
- Match the COA: Look for the lot number, identity method, purity result and content result for the precise item.
- Separate guarantees from returns: A satisfaction guarantee, a broken-arrival replacement, a physician-clearance refund and a return window answer different questions.
- Compare completed orders: Compare the final total for the labeled vial or bottle after shipping, discounts and bundle terms appear.
When a product is offered through a compounding path, FDA explains that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed before marketing for safety, effectiveness or quality; a prescription pharmacy can explain the prescriber, pharmacy and follow-up path.
What do the individual Semax and Adamax listings say?
Prism Labs Semax
Prism lists lyophilized Semax in 5 mg and 10 mg vials. Its product page describes batch testing for identity, purity and content and displays a 10 mg lot with 11.14 mg measured content. For the listing-specific price, COA and buyer checks, see Prism Labs Semax reviews.
Kylo Peptides Semax
Kylo describes its catalog as laboratory and in-vitro research material, not for human or veterinary use. Kylo advertises a 30-day refund policy, but its terms provide limited remedies for specified order problems; its FAQ says a broken vial reported within 24 hours with a photo may qualify for replacement. See Kylo Peptides Semax reviews.
Verified Peptides Adamax
Verified Peptides calls Adamax a synthetic Semax derivative with an N-terminal acetyl group and a C-terminal adamantane-based modification. The 10 mg lyophilized-powder vial is sold for laboratory research only, and its listed certificate reports purity, weight and endotoxin testing. For the listing-specific details and buyer checks, see Verified Peptides Adamax reviews.
Northline Labs Adamax
Northline markets Adamax as an acetylated, adamantane-modified Semax analog for laboratory research. It lists a 10 mg lyophilized-powder vial, lot-level HPLC and mass-spectrometry checks, and a research-use-only designation. See Northline Labs Adamax reviews.
Pure Bio Labs Adamax Liquid Spray
Pure Bio Labs describes Adamax Liquid Spray as a 15 mL pre-mixed research formulation. It says the bottle needs no reconstitution and that its product testing includes ID and quantity verification, microbiological testing and an endotoxin assay. See Pure Bio Labs Adamax Liquid Spray reviews.
Pure Bio Labs Neuro Triple Blend Spray
Pure Bio Labs lists 20 mg each of Semax, Selank and Pinealon in its 15 mL Neuro Triple Blend. Because it contains three peptides, compare it as a blend rather than as a single-ingredient Semax listing. See Pure Bio Labs Neuro Triple Blend Spray reviews.
Lavi MD Semax + Selank Nasal Spray
Lavi MD markets its Semax + Selank Nasal Spray as a compounded-to-order, 120-spray blend and says physician review precedes fulfillment. It lists a one-bottle price, pack discounts, third-party testing and a COA available on request. For the pharmacy route and buyer checks, see Lavi MD Semax + Selank Nasal Spray reviews.
Prism Labs Selank
Prism lists Selank in 5 mg and 10 mg lyophilized vials and describes its batch document as covering identity, purity and content. Selank is a separate peptide from Semax, even though both can appear in the same shopping results. For the listing-specific details and buyer checks, see Prism Labs Selank reviews.
What does the human research on Semax cover?
The clearest human record here is a 30-person stroke study of Semax in the acute period after hemispheric ischemic stroke. The study enrolled 30 patients during the acute period of hemispheric ischemic stroke; it does not establish a result for a retail vial or spray.
A second acute-stroke clinical report examined immunobiochemical mechanisms. Research often cited for BDNF comes from animals: a rat BDNF study found increased BDNF protein in rat basal forebrain, and a rat ischemia study reported changes in Bdnf, Ngf and TrkB expression. The distinction between human and preclinical work is explained in peptides human studies (our research library).
Those studies do not provide a consumer schedule, a best time to take Semax, or a result that can be assigned to one of the products above.
Why is Semax not FDA approved in the United States?
Semax is not an FDA-approved drug in the United States. FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee met in July 2026 to discuss peptide compounding, and its advice is followed by FDA review.
Is Semax safe, legal, or suitable for sport?
Safety, legal status and sport eligibility are separate decisions. FDA states that a compounded drug is not FDA-approved, while research-use-only sellers below state their products are not for human or veterinary use; if you are considering Semax for a health purpose, talk with a doctor before making that decision, especially if you take medicines or have ongoing health concerns.
For athletes, USADA peptide guidance says some externally used peptides and growth factors can be prohibited and directs athletes to check the exact ingredient and current rule through GlobalDRO. A peptide’s format alone does not determine its prohibited status; athletes should check the exact ingredient and current rule through GlobalDRO.
Before you order
- Is the item Semax itself, Adamax, Selank or a multi-peptide blend?
- Does the seller label it research-use-only or offer it through a pharmacy pathway?
- Does the COA correspond to the exact lot and identify the methods, purity and content?
- What does the applicable refund, replacement or approval policy say for the order?
- What is the checkout total for the labeled amount you are comparing?
