Adamax and Semax are not the same: Northline Labs markets Adamax as a modified Semax research analog, while Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide with a published research record.

What is the difference between Adamax and Semax?
Northline Labs says its Adamax is a synthetic ACTH(4-10) analog derived from Semax. It describes N-terminal acetylation and an adamantyl modification, and says those changes are used in research on BDNF/TrkB signaling, MC4 receptor pharmacology, synaptic-plasticity models, and CNS peptide chemistry. The seller says the modification extends plasma half-life and improves blood-brain-barrier penetration in research models.
Semax is identified in the published literature as the synthetic heptapeptide Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro and an ACTH(4-10) analog. For a closer look at one retail Semax listing, see the Prism Labs Semax review. Adamax and Semax are different compounds and product listings.
| Question | Adamax | Semax |
|---|---|---|
| How sellers describe it | Northline Labs calls it a modified Semax research analog. | Published literature identifies it as a synthetic heptapeptide ACTH(4-10) analog. |
| Published research described here | Seller description and product documentation. | Small human clinical reports and rat studies. |
| US FDA status | Northline Labs labels its product research use only. | FDA compounding materials discuss Semax as a bulk substance under consideration. |
What does the Semax research actually show?
A published Semax clinical report studied 30 people during the acute period of hemispheric ischemic stroke. In everyday terms, that is a small clinical group in an emergency stroke setting, not a general-use study of retail vials or sprays. An ischemic stroke is caused by blocked blood flow to the brain, as MedlinePlus explains.
Other published work is preclinical. A rat basal-forebrain study reported increased BDNF protein levels, and another rat study reported changes in neurotrophin and receptor-gene transcription after cerebral ischemia. Those findings explain why sellers may use neurotrophic-pathway language, but they are animal findings.
Is Adamax better or stronger than Semax?
Northline Labs says Adamax’s modifications are intended for extended half-life and CNS-bioavailability research models. Semax has the published record described above. If the question is which listing best fits a laboratory project, compare the exact compound, form, lot documentation, intended research context, and product label rather than treating one name as an upgrade of the other.
For product-specific details, the Northline Labs Adamax review and Pure Bio Labs Adamax spray review cover the two Adamax listings separately.
What does FDA say about Semax and Selank?
FDA’s 2026 briefing says Semax-related nominations had been withdrawn by nominators, while FDA proceeded with the advisory-committee discussion. FDA’s safety-risk page, the bulk-substances record, says compounded Semax may pose immunogenicity and impurity-related risks and that FDA has no or limited safety information for proposed routes.
The FDA’s compounding framework also distinguishes compounded drugs from FDA-approved drugs: compounded drugs are not reviewed by the agency for safety, effectiveness, and quality before marketing in the way FDA-approved drugs are. See the FDA’s compounding questions and answers for that distinction.
What does Northline Labs sell, and what does it cost?
Northline Labs lists Adamax as a 10 mg lyophilized-powder vial and labels it for research use only, not for human or veterinary use. The seller says each lot has a certificate of analysis with HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity confirmation. Its displayed price was $62.99 on October 28, 2026; check the product page for today’s price and availability.
| Northline Labs Adamax detail | Seller listing |

| Form | Lyophilized powder |
| Labeled amount | 10 mg |
| Displayed price | $62.99 |

Can Adamax be mixed, sprayed, stacked, or used every day?
The seller’s product page says to store its lyophilized material at −20°C and protect it from light and moisture in its research context.
That also means a listing does not answer whether Adamax can be combined with Semax or Selank, used at night, or used every day. A clinician can address questions about medicines, interactions, or personal health decisions.
Before you order
- Read the intended-use statement before placing an order; Northline Labs identifies Adamax as research use only.
- For a research listing, check that the lot identifier and product documentation match the item being considered.
- For a pharmacy or prescription question, confirm the product and route with the pharmacy and clinician rather than relying on a shopping listing.
