Best CBD Gummies for Sleep: Ingredients, THC, Price & Safety

Compare sleep-focused CBD gummies by CBD, CBN, THC, added ingredients and seller-listed price before deciding what fits your bedtime routine.

CBD sleep gummies are an easy way to compare a bedtime formula before you buy: the biggest differences are the CBD and CBN amounts, whether THC is included, and added ingredients such as melatonin or magnesium. Sellers market these products for sleep support, and listed formulas vary in CBD, CBN, THC, and other ingredients.

Which CBD sleep gummies show their cannabinoid amounts and prices?

The table below uses the amounts and prices listed by each seller. A 10 mg CBD gummy is a lower labeled amount than 25 mg or 40 mg; the useful comparison is the amount in one gummy, not only the total milligrams printed on a jar.

Is 10 mg, 25 mg, or 40 mg of CBD a lot?

Those numbers are simply the labeled CBD content per gummy. A 25 mg gummy has two and a half times the labeled CBD of a 10 mg gummy, and 40 mg has four times as much. It does not tell you whether a formula also contains CBN, THC, melatonin, or other bedtime ingredients, which is why the full product label matters more than a “strong” claim on an ad.

For example, Hit! Balm lists 25 mg CBD and 10 mg CBN in each Moon gummy. Use the directions for the particular product rather than treating one brand’s serving as a rule for another.

What have human CBD and CBN sleep studies found?

Retail gummy formulas vary in their CBD, CBN, THC, and other ingredients, so one product’s label should not be treated as evidence about another product.

NIDA says the FDA has approved a plant-derived cannabidiol-based medication for seizures associated with rare forms of epilepsy; the retail gummies listed here are not that medicine. (FDA information on CBD)

What should you check for sleep, THC, and drug testing?

A gummy with THC deserves a separate decision from a THC-free or broad-spectrum product. Cornbread says its full-spectrum gummies contain naturally occurring THC, and Slumber lists 3 mg THC per gummy. THC can matter if your workplace tests for it, so read the product’s batch report and this site’s guide to THC drug testing before ordering.

Labels use “full spectrum,” “broad spectrum,” and “isolate” differently. Full spectrum can include THC, broad spectrum is described as THC-free, and isolate contains CBD alone; the exact cannabinoid panel is the detail to compare. The discussion of THC metabolites and active compounds explains why label terms should not be treated as interchangeable.

What are the downsides and interaction questions?

For an older adult, or anyone using prescription medicines, the most useful next step is to bring the exact product label to a pharmacist or clinician before combining it with medicines. A completed National Library of Medicine-registered study planned 22 participants to examine cannabinoid interactions with medicines metabolized through several CYP450 pathways, including caffeine, omeprazole, losartan, dextromethorphan, and midazolam; see the cannabinoid interaction study.

Sleep itself can be interrupted by many factors. MedlinePlus sleep disorder guidance notes that medicines, alcohol or caffeine, an irregular schedule, aging, and other health conditions can contribute to sleep problems. The NHS insomnia guide lists repeated waking, early waking, tiredness, and concentration difficulty among common symptoms.

How do you choose between these sleep gummies?

Start with the feature you actually want to compare. Choose a THC-free listing if avoiding THC is your priority; compare CBN-per-gummy if you specifically want CBD plus CBN; and compare added ingredients if melatonin, magnesium glycinate, lemon balm, L-theanine, or 5-HTP matter to you. The seller’s lab-report link or batch label is the practical place to confirm the current cannabinoid amounts before you order.

Before you order

  • Confirm the current price, count, subscription terms, and refund terms at checkout.
  • Read the current batch report and compare it with the cannabinoid amounts on the product page.
  • If you take medicines or need to avoid THC exposure, ask a pharmacist or clinician about the exact formula first.
  • If repeated waking continues, bring a short sleep history to a clinician; the pattern itself is useful information.
